The Hangover

It’s New Years Day and many of you woke up this morning with that New Years Eve Hangover. Achey and Uncomfortable… Extremely Fatigued… A desire to lay on the couch all day and eat really greasy food.

New Years Eve usually starts the same way, surrounded by people you enjoy, you set out to have a good time. Pretty soon you are having a real good time and you don’t realize how much time has past and how many times you’ve had a re-fill. It was fun when you started but somewhere in the middle everything got a little fuzzzzy.

And here we are, Tired. Toxic. Hungover. As you put the pieces of last night back together, You swear you’ll never do it again. But you know that’s a lie. You swear that was the last time. But you know “one more time” won’t hurt that bad.

New Years Resolutions… They seem like good ideas at the time, right? You have fun setting them and then you tell all your friends whatcha gonna do in the New Year. Those first few weeks are exciting and new and as time passes the magic wears off. You slip up a little bit. You get one too many re-fills from your previous year. Your resolution fades and you’re back to where you started.

Just like New Years Day, the Party is over and you get back to your everyday life. We suffer from the New Years Hangover. Your achey and uncomfortable, extremely fatigued and all you want to do is lay on the couch and eat crappy food.

That’s why this year, it needs to be more than just a new years resolution. IF you want to make changes it has to be designed. You need to know where you are going and How you’re going to get there. You need to know What you are building and How you’re going to go about it.

Goal Design is a vital component to achieving success. What do YOU want to achieve this year? Why do you want to achieve it? In the gym, Outside the gym. In your Personal life, Outside your Comfort zone. In your Professional life, Outside your normal routine.
