Here we go folks. Round two of The Paleo Challenge.

30 days of real food. Plants and Animals with as little processing as we can get in this day and age. 30 days of flushing out many of the toxins we habitually put in our bodies. 30 days to experiment and try new foods, recipes and expose yourselves to a new lifestyle and new results. It’s time to get off the fast and convenient, naturally flavored, advancements in modern technology and back to a meal plan that focuses on the natural flavors of fruits and vegetables, seasonings and spices, fresh and ripe foods.

For some of you it’s a reset to the last challenge, a chance to dial it back in after the holidays. A chance to try something new or different. Maybe a few more veggies and a little less fruit or trying coconut oil and laying off the nuts. Take this challenge and improve your performance. Where did you struggle last time? Did you do great for breakfast and dinner but stumble during lunches? Was it the planning, the prepping or the cooking?

As you sit down and make your shopping lists, remember that planning your meals and snacks will only help you succeed. You’re planning for both the good days and the bad days, those days when your tired or stressed and all you want to do is order out. Plan your meals, Plan your emergency meals, Plan for taking control of what you put in your body.

Keep in mind that we’re not taking anything away from you, we’re just suggesting you avoid it for the next four weeks. This challenge will help introduce you to new foods and recipes, facilitating an opportunity to find new favorite dishes. The next four weeks are your opportunity to eliminate any of the potentially toxic parts of your nutrition. Think about why you signed up for this challenge. Was it to make the switch to a healthier lifestyle and improve health concerns? Did you sign up to tinker with your fuel and improve your performance? Have you signed up to improve your body composition and reverse the effects of the insulin spiking inflammation causing substances you’ve been consuming?

Regardless of your motivation, give yourself the next thirty days and commit to this challenge. “I will stay Paleo for the next 30 days.” Keep that Positive Mental Attitude about it. “I’m enjoying the new options and results I’m seeing.” And ENJOY the competition and challenge with your Teammates.
