5 Tips for Spring Cleaning your Nutrition! 

 

I‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Abs are made in the kitchen!

So, let’s clean up that Nutrition with these 5 Swap a roo’s!

 

  1. Swap out the pumpkin bread and Cinnamon rolls for some Steel Cut Oats or some Greek/Coconut Yogurt. Add a scoop of protein and some slivered almonds & PRESTO!! You have a complete meal of protein, carb and a healthy fat!

 

  1. Like swapping those black winter sweaters in your closet for some Color, let’s swap those heavy starches (potatoes and squashes) for some colorful produce! Make it a goal to add some fresh produce/veggies to each meal of the day! Spinach and arugula to your eggs, some salad to your lunch, some broccoli to your dinner, easy peasy!

 

  1. Swap the Sugary Lattes and drinks for some Sugar Free Iced Green tea or better yet some Greens! I love this Brand

 

  1. Swap out the box-o-wine at Dinner for some La Croix with a fresh lime, or orange. It’s super refreshing and the carbonation helps fill you up! The extra sugar and calories from the wine is a sure fire way to add up some calories.

 

  1. Swap the post meal desserts for a handful Fruit or Nuts. Most folks crave something sweet or salty after a meal, so grab some nuts or a piece of fruit, wash it down with some water and brush your teeth! Chances are you’re not really still hungry and well nothing tastes good after you brush your teeth- it’s true, not even chocolate!

Remember little choices made day after day lead to big results! So, let’s make these easy swaps and welcome summer with open arms!
