My best friend introduced me to CrossFit in 2004. Every once in a while I would go to 24 Hour Fitness with my friend to do the WOD that was posted on the internet. At the time, I was playing college baseball so my workout regiment was geared towards that, but the CrossFit workouts that I would throw in randomly were always my favorite. After playing professional baseball, I got more and more into CrossFit. My love for CrossFit has grown through the years and most significantly in the last 3 years. I love the community and camaraderie of CrossFit, there’s just something about being in he middle of a tough workout and pushing each other to do your best. My prior coaching experience, about 10 years worth, includes a focus on performance training and strength and conditioning: Baseball mostly but also includes many other sports. I really enjoy helping people in need. This is why I coach CrossFit and am pursuing a career as a Firefighter/EMT. People need help in so many ways and I want to be a person to provide some of those needs. One of my favorite things in life is being some sort influence in people’s success and achieving their goals. Whether that is a goal for a specific sport, climbing to the top of a rope, or just being a better person. Outside of baseball and CrossFit I enjoy spending time with my wife Lauren and my 1 year old son Maddux, they are my brightest part of every day.
