It’s OK to Say NO…

It’s okay to say No. I know I know, this is crazy right? We’ve been taught our whole lives to not say No.  Well as usually I’m going against the grain and I’m saying it’s ok.   Here me out, apparently it’s November and the Holidays are just around the corner. The invitations to parties, outings, travel and everything in between are in the mail, your inbox, or on their way.  There will be many opportunities for cookies, candies, treats  liquid calories, and bar crawls! So you’ll need a plan as to not derail all of your 2016 progress and more importantly, your immune system and overall health.

When opportunity presents itself, be it a party invitation, a cookie or a second slice of pie,  will you say Yes or say No?  I want to share this great piece of advice I once received.  

“When you say NO to something, You’re saying YES to something else!”

In my life, I’ve found that when I don’t have a plan for something I make rash decisions. (they usually include saying yes to things that aren’t in line with my goals or plans)

If I say to myself…

I will not have that third drink, I will only have 2 drinks at the Holiday party and no cookies.

If I say to myself…

On Thanksgiving, No, I will not have seconds, I’ll be saying YES to having 1 giant plate of food (as big as I can pile it)

Either You Will, or You Won’t… The decision is completely up to YOU!

Believe me, it’s OK to Say No

…to People,

…to Cookies,

…to Whatever it is that stresses you out.  

Learn to be Comfortable saying No to things that hinder your health and that hinder your happiness. I look forward to hearing you say No and seeing you say Yes to the things that that Improve you, that make you feel Good, that help you on your way to the best version of yourself!
